What is it?
Every round shows a real photo of a bird — four species, one right answer. Get it right fast enough and you earn a speed bonus on top of the base points; get it wrong and the next screen shows you exactly which bird it was, with credit to the photographer.
Species names show as "local name (Latin name)", so you build a feel for the scientific name alongside whatever you call it at home.
Play your way
- Solo — pick a country, answer at your own pace, see your mistakes at the end.
- Daily challenge — the same ten questions as everyone else, once a day, for your streak.
- Room — a 6-digit code, up to 20 players, no ranking points — just for fun with friends.
- Random match — get paired with another player on the same country; the winner's score counts toward the leaderboard.
Real data, real credit
Photos and species data come from iNaturalist observations and Wikimedia Commons, under CC0 / CC-BY licenses. Every photo in the game shows its photographer's name, license, and a link back to the original — tap it to see the source. Think a photo is wrong or low quality? Flag it right from the quiz; it goes to us for review.
